Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the mobile application “Rest: Slow down. Do nothing.” (“Rest” or the “App”), published by LowRange Labs (“we”, “us”). Contact us at lowrangelabs@gmail.com. By using Rest, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. What Rest: Slow down. Do nothing. does
Rest offers timed and open-ended pauses, an optional staged journey, and a private record of completed sessions and reflections. Completing a session completes its stage and any shorter stages. If you stop early, the session is saved locally but does not count toward journey progress or completed-session statistics. Rest is intended for personal use and is not medical care, therapy, or treatment for any condition. Do not use the App where paying attention to your surroundings is necessary for safety. You may stop a session whenever you need to.
2. Eligibility
Rest is not directed at children under 16. If applicable law requires a higher age or parental authorization for your use, that requirement applies.
3. Purchase and access
Rest is planned as a one-time paid download. The price, taxes, payment method, and any applicable refund rights are shown by the App Store or Google Play before purchase. Purchases and refunds are handled under the relevant store’s terms and applicable consumer law. Rest currently has no subscription or in-app purchases. Features may change through updates; any material change to the payment model will be disclosed before it applies.
4. License and permitted use
Subject to these Terms and the applicable store rules, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Rest for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control. You must not copy, redistribute, reverse engineer, or misuse the App, except where the law expressly allows it.
5. Your data and device
Rest does not require an account or notification permission. It does not use advertising or usage analytics. Session history, progress, and reflections are stored on your device. You can delete session history in the App; uninstalling the App may also remove locally stored data. We do not provide cloud backup or cross-device sync for this data. Production versions use Firebase Crashlytics to send crash and device diagnostics so we can fix errors. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Availability and changes
We may update Rest to improve its features, security, or compatibility. Some features may not work on every device or operating system version. We may change or discontinue the App, subject to rights you have under applicable law. We may update these Terms; the effective date above shows when the current version took effect. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice where required.
7. Intellectual property
Rest’s software, design, name, and original content belong to LowRange Labs or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.
8. Responsibility and liability
Rest is provided with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that using it will produce a particular wellbeing result. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights.
9. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Courts in Romania will have jurisdiction over disputes, except where mandatory consumer rules give you the right to bring a claim elsewhere or require another law to apply. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern.
